Fishing With

Recall the proverb...

"Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime."

The concept of fishing with creates the mental image of one sitting next to an expert practitioner side-by-side throughout a process, not just learning the basics of how to, but absorbing the why behind what they do.

In this way, I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to learn much of my user experience knowledge hands-on from a diverse collection of senior experience design professionals. It is much of their wisdom that I pass on to those that I mentor on the job.
